Start a conversation with a username, connect with active users and keep the experience focused on a 24-hour window.

What I built

An ephemeral messaging application with a responsive dark interface and Socket.IO-powered conversations.

24-hour account and chat-session model
Active-user discovery
Realtime messaging using Socket.IO

Technical focus

Coordinating realtime events with React and Redux UI state, backed by Node.js, Express and MongoDB. The central engineering focus is the lifecycle of a short-lived messaging session.
